Sara's Story:
We had a great birth experience with Jessica being our doula and our
Bradley instructor. By taking the Bradley course, we were completely
prepared for our natural, homebirth! Before I had Autumn, all I had to do
was e-mail Jessica or call her and she responded almost instantly. That
was important to me because I had so many questions.
Our birth at home didn't go quite as we expected because my labor want
very fast, so fast that my midwife didn't make it for the birth. She arrived
seconds later!
But during that time, Thank God for Jessica! She knew exactly what to do
and she kept her composure. She called the midwife and the midwife
instructed Jessica how to deliver our baby! Jessica did perfect! It was
amazing being able to have our beautiful baby on our living room floor!
I'm not sure I would of had the strength to have a homebirth without the
support from Jessica.
One thing I remember that stands out in my mind is after the birth, I
started bleeding a lot and come to find out, I had clots. What I remember,
is laying on the bed, while my midwife was pushing my clots out and my
loving doula sitting beside me and holding my hand through it all! She
supported me the whole time. It was just very comforting to have, not
just any doula, but Jessica there who is very loving, compassionate,
professional, and experienced! She is a very special person and friend!
